Despite the basement flooding (again) and dangerous driving conditions, I must say I've rather enjoyed the rain this weekend. It's been quite a while since we've had such a wet spell. It's certainly rained and drizzled, but there was some serious downpouring today.
I love the smell of rain. I can actually smell it through the vents in my air conditioner right now. I stepped out of the garage while it was coming down pretty hard earlier and just stood there a while, getting soaked. The raindrops were big enough to almost hurt at that speed - almost. And they tasted oddly sweet.
